Boost your shutdown time in Windows 7

1. Go to “Start > Run” and type “regedit”.

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control in the left pane.

3. In the right pane, right-click on the key called ‘WaitToKillServiceTimeout’ and click on “Modify“.

4. Change the Value data from 12000 (12 seconds) to 5000 (5 seconds) or anything low.
