Cleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system – allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it’s fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

You can also see a long list of features here

You can also the free software from here or from the file hippo.

Automate the Ccleaner software

Even though it takes a matter of minutes to run the software and clean the system, there may be many of us (like me) who have installed a whole lot bunch of softwares and don’t have the time to run these softwares daily. So if you are using it say once a week or once a month, then there will be a lot of temporary files, deleted files, cookies, history etc… will be there taking up a lot of space ( yes , that’s true) from your system.

For example, if you are a person who always like to be fully updated in windows and install each and every hotfixes released from Microsoft every month, then you have to check the “Hotfix Uninstallers” option under the “advanced” item in the cleaner. This will alone give you more than 1Gb free space by deleting the uninstallers of all the updates you installed.

So to Automate the Ccleaner process, do the following

1. Go to “Options” menu in Ccleaner and then select “Settings“.

2. Select “Run Ccleaner when the Computer starts”

3. Now click on the “Advanced” menu under the “Options” and select “close program after cleaning“.

4. That’s All. Now your Ccleaner is Automated such that it will automatically open when your computer starts and clean the dirt and close itself.

Note :

I always think that cleaning up cookies is an important part of what CCleaner does. I notice that Everybody turn off this feature while cleaning to save the login credentials of their favorite websites . I would make a suggestion to those guys as well.

If you look at the “options” button on CCleaner, it has a place where you can tell it to ignore selected cookies when it runs, while allowing it to get rid of all the tracking cookies and other cookie crumbs that are installed when you surf around the net.

What you have to do was

1. Use ccleaner to get rid of all cookies, then surfed around to your favorite web sites where you need to login.

2. Log in to each websites, save all passwords then go back to CCleaner and “exclude” the cookies which have been created by your favorite sites using “options / cookies”.

3. Now you can run CCleaner with cookie cleanup turned back on in your automated task, and you will get a better result.
