Pico is a grid-based magazine theme created by Hafiz based on the famous Mimbo theme by Darren Hoyt, designed to work right out-of-the-box without having to install additional plugins.It has many features to diffrenciate itself from the other free wordpress theme out there…

Main Features :

1. Smart post thumbnail handling.

This theme supports the newly introduced 2.9 Canonical Post thumbnail or it will take the first image used (uploaded) on post.

2. 10 widget areas.

Yep.you read it right.This theme has 10 widget areas in which you can drop anything from related posts, archives, tags or any advertisement.

It includes four individual widgets on footer(unlike many themes, where there is only a single widget section is present for footer).

3. Pico’s Spotlight Widget Area

If you don’t use it, you won’t see it. Place any widget into the Pico Spotlight Widget area and bam! You’ll have that widget placed right on top right area of your blog, prominently displayed in a box with a strong background color, which can be used to differnciate the important messages from the content.

4. 3 page templates

It has three page templates as of now(Archives, List Authors and Sitemap).But i am sure he will increase the numbers in the near future.

Just go to your admin.create a page. use the templates from the dropdown and thats it.. you can have an archive page or sitemap page in seconds.

5.  Breadcrumb navigation

This theme has a beautiful breadcrumb navigation system at the top of every post or page.Again, No plugins required

6. Page and Category Navigation

This theme has grid based page and awesome category navigation (with description).The category description must be short enough to look good in the theme.

7. Related Posts

While on single post pages, this theme automatically shows the related posts on the same category on the right sidebar.no need to edit or add any widgets for this..

8. Browser Compactablity

Pico is known to work on the following browsers:

My thoughts :

Actually i really like this theme very much which makes me to write this post. It has everything a theme wants.

1.I like to have a widget area on the top of the header on the right. Can use links to social networks or show some 468*60 ads there…

2. Eventhough it is easy to edit css, i like to slightly differnciate the color of sidebars from the content area.

3. May be different color styles to choose in the next versions

4. I prefer content-sidebar-sidebar rather than sidebar-content-sidebar (but thats only me)

5. Atlast, I love the theme Name “Pico“.Overall a very nice premium like theme.

Tweetbook.in needs read-only (oAuth) access to your twitter account. By Clicking on the ‘Sign in with Twitter’ button there to give tweetbook.in the access to read your tweets and favorites.

When you give access to it, it will take you to its dashboard, from where you can have the option of downloading all your tweets, your replies and your favorites too. you can also download a xml backup file of above.

Just select, if you want replies and xml format and click on “Generate Pdf”.After few seconds, you can download the E-book.. How Easy isn’t it ?

Advantage :

The advantage of this is , they do not store your passwords. The app. uses oAuth which means you are not sharing your password but just giving them the permission to read your tweets. They store your tweets temporarily. The PDF and XML files that you generate there are deleted at the end of the day( or two).

Dis-advantage :

The only Dis-advantage is, twitter gives out your twitter updates through twitter API and it  has limits set so that only a particular number(as of now latest 3200 tweets) of tweets can be retrieved. (Thank god , i just finished 3000 tweets, so i got all of my tweets )
