How to find the Correct Rss Feedburner Subscribers of a Blog

Every day, we come across a lot of blogs with a feedburner rss chicklet widget displaying the No. of Rss Subscribers the blog has.But not all blogs display the exact feed chicklet, instead they show a image of chicklet which has thousands of followers. Their aim is to get more followers by displaying it and people thought it as a famous blog (judge by the no. of follower count on the image) and subscribe for it..

So, How can we find these blogs that show Fake Rss details ?

1. First direct your browser to his feed url. just add feed to the blog name . (in my case its http://sparun.in/feed/ )

2. If it use Feedburner service, then the feed url MUST transfer it to that feedburner url. In my case it is transfered to http://feeds2.feedburner.com/s_p_arun (If it is not transferring you to a feed URL, then the blog doesn’t even use feedburner itself)

3. Now knowing the feedburner url, we are going to change the url a little bit, so that we can find the exact subscribers of that blog. just add ” ~fc” in between the URL.

If your feedburner url is like this  http://feeds2.feedburner.com/s_p_arun , then change it to this http://feeds2.feedburner.com/~fc/s_p_arun and refresh the browser.

4. Now you can get the exact feedburner chicklet and the correct subscriber numbers of that blog..

5. Try it out and find the cheating Blogs.
